The policy will compliment the company’s health and safety policy and will be subject to internal audit and possible external audit by our Clients.
The management and all employees are expected to co-operate with the directors in the application of this policy.
When acting as consultants the company will encourage Clients to apply the principles laid out in this policy.

Noise Control
Plant and equipment will be selected to be environmentally acceptable so far as is reasonably practicable.
Noise generated by work activities will be kept to a minimum in order to limit the nuisance to the general public and surrounding properties.
Dust Emissions
Dust generated by our work will be controlled to prevent it becoming a nuisance.
Local Environment
All necessary precautions will be taken to avoid damage to adjacent properties, roads and features such as trees and areas under preservation orders.
Waste Disposal, Spillages etc.
Waste oils will be collected in drums for storage and disposed of correctly by recycling wherever possible.
Spillages will be contained using sand, bunds or other suitable means and the area will be cleaned up thoroughly. All contaminated materials will be disposed of correctly.
Packaging materials, rubbish and general waste will be placed in skips or bags and disposed of in landfill sites under the controlled waste regulations.
Wherever possible waste paper, metals and glass will be collected and recycled.
Records and Investigations
Records of all waste disposal will be maintained and investigations will be carried out into incidents of serious accidental spillage or discharge. Where such incidents occur they will be reported immediately to the Environmental Agency and we will co-operate fully with their requirements.

To achieve these objectives we will:-
- Conserve natural resources by minimising waste and promoting a philosophy of prevention, reduction and reuse amongst our employees.
- Recycle all inert excavations by way of segregation of top soils, clay, hardcore, and all demolition projects will have an almost all recycled action witch we will strive to maintain.
- Inform all subcontractors and suppliers of our environmental policy and actively seek their co-operation.
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective environmental management system.
- Ensure that the storage and disposal of waste is undertaken in a safe and secure manner and conforms with all current legislation.
- Minimise the use of ozone depleting substances in our operations.
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective monitoring programme.
- Ensure that the minimum of energy is used with maximum efficiency.
